If I Had Taken The Red Pill

Flipping circles and mumbled voices
Overarching the sky line and the distant horizon
I am going to run until the horizon is part of me
I am going to cry until the rivers flow back toward me
Flipping squares and a cacophony of signs
Breaking the delicate contrast of green and blue
I was going to come and see you but I don’t know the way
I was going to hold you but I don’t know what to say
Flipping triangles and dominant shapes
Fragmenting the faith held in my hands
I stand
I stand
Just a fragile grip
I weep
I weep
Just a quick sip
Flipping circles and mumbled voices
Overarching the sky line and the distant horizon.
